| | Hey ppl, I really suck at updating xanga these days. Technically I'm one of the first ones who started off this whole xanga thing within our group in Bahrain but I've been slacking for quite a while. As a highlight, I managed to finish all 11 exams *phew*. It all seems like a blur now. Staying up till the crack of dawn cramming everyday, taking the exam from 9:30, getting home to take a 3 hour nap and then starting all over. The first set of exams were the worst since I had to do 5 exams in a row ugh... It really is a miracle that I avoided getting sick, instead I lost a bit of weight chewing on bread and forgetting to eat at times lol
The only real reason why I'm still stuck in Bristol (which actually isn't too bad weather-wise, excluding the random rain) is because I'm stuck doing a Fieldcourse for my course. Yes, it says "Field" but unlike the other programs, I ended up being allocated to lab work. Other people are out in Wales or what not catching bats and insects (which is what I actually wanted to do lol). Anyway, the prof in charge, known as Colin Lazarus is a nice laid back guy so it wasn't as bad as I anticipated. It's just that we end up having an hour session or something explaining about concepts of molecular genetics and sometimes I just CAN'T keep up if I'm not concentrating on every little thing he says ARGH hehe I mean the stuff I have to remember is so technical and personally, I think the hardest thing you can ever learn in Biology. I mean, Biology's known to be the easiest Science subject you can ever take but it's difficult for anyone to pop by and take a genetics course from the 2nd year without knowing any of the basics. Anyway, I basically spent yesterday and today sitting in front of a crammed table, pipetting things and making gels lol The rest of the time consists of sitting around until something's incubated for long enough etc aaah hehe
Oh well, I'm actually planning on going to London tomorrow with Asato. I've always wanted to go somewhere with him but ugh we never plan hehe so yeah, it's a big deal just getting this through. Oh, and I managed to get facebook at last. It makes me a little sad and happy to see my old classmates and all. I remember their faces as they were when I last left so it's hard to fit that with how they look like now (if they're so different).
*I'll be leaving to Bahrain on the 22nd and arriving on the morning of the 23rd!!
**If anyone's bored enough, take a look at the lab I work in
